As the World Begins

This started as my Nano project. Since that tanked, I promised that I would finish this and so I am putting what I have up and will be following with more soon I think. So here it is and there will be more. Thank you Keira for the ‘push’ to get this started.

1. When the World Ends

My world , when it ended, ended not with a bang or a whimper, but with a great deal of confusion, miscommunication and a serious case of WTF?

2. Getting Ready to Run

I can only pray, to a God I no longer fully believe in, that those people lived through the Ori bombardment and saved as many people as they possibly could. Because it is hard enough to live with myself knowing how many I saved. There are far more that I left to die.

3. Interlude: Conquered Earth

Stone cold sober, Henry looked insanity in the eye and laid it all on the line, “Madame Orici. I am Henry Hayes, President of the United States of America. I would say that I am pleased to meet you, but that would be an utter lie. What do you want?”

4. Fate Is A Fickle Thing

Have you ever felt the rush of something? Something that feels like destiny, fate, karma? When we found out that there was a problem with Icarus, I just knew. If we saw the people who had been on that base again, they wouldn’t be the same.

5. Interlude II – Rebellion **

“Laugh it up, bitch. We will get you yet.”

6. Picking Up the Pieces

The end of my world passed without me really knowing it. I was too young to understand why Dad had me pack up my favorite toys and stuff that day. I was too young to know why my brothers were so grim as they stripped the house of family pictures and knickknacks. I was way too young.

Music I hear when I am writing this:

It’s the End of the World as We Know It By R.E.M

Gladiator Soundtrack – 03 -The Battle

Amazing Grace: The Best of Scottish Pipes and Drums

Winterborn by the Cruxshadows

Iridescent by Linkin Park

This is War: The Avengers by Thirty Seconds To Mars

Sinner’s Prayer by Sully Erna ** This song goes with the interlude. It is what inspired it.
